Surat, (Gujarat) [India], January 26, 2025: To mark the 76th Republic Day, the Bharat Bharati Trust organized an extraordinary cultural program at the 7Colours Party Lawn in City Plus Multiplex. The event brought together people from across the country to celebrate India’s rich cultural diversity and promote unity.
The program began with heartfelt prayers to Bharat Mata, setting a respectful and patriotic tone for the evening. People from 9 states including West Bengal, Uttarakhand, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Orissa, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, and also neighbouring country Nepal, participated in the celebrations, showcasing their unique cultural traditions through music, dance, and performances. The audience applauded each other’s efforts, sending a strong message of unity despite the diversity.
Key figures from the Bharat Bharati Trust, including Subhash Sinh Dhawan, Bharatbhai Shah, Rudranarayan Tiwari, and Avinash Patil, were present at the event. Major Sanjay Mehrotra attended as the Guest of Honour, and Siddharth Dave, the main speaker, delivered an inspiring address on the importance of cultural unity and diversity in building a stronger nation.
The program featured a variety of performances by local artists, highlighting different dance forms and musical traditions. People of all ages enjoyed the lively atmosphere, and the event served as a celebration of India’s diverse arts and culture.
In addition to the cultural performances, a food festival was set up, where attendees could sample traditional dishes from the different states represented at the event. The food stalls added an extra layer of cultural experience, allowing everyone to enjoy the diverse flavours of India.
The event was made possible thanks to the hard work and dedication of the Uttarakhand committee, including Surendra Singh Rawat, Chatur Singh, Kishannath Goswami, Vijay Goswami, and Neelam Verma. They played a crucial role in supporting the event and ensuring its smooth execution. The cultural program team – Smita Thapliyal, Usha Rawat, Geeta Negi, Tara Devi Bhatt, Kiran Durgapal, Shakuntala Sharma, Laxmi Bhandari, and Raveena Rawat – also worked tirelessly to make the event a success. Rawat Hospitality managed the entire event at the 7Colours Party Lawn.
