Unveils Online Cardiac Rehabilitation and Hybrid Online Physiotherapy Services
Bengaluru, (Karnataka) [India] September 12, 2026: Strengthening its commitment to continuity of care and patient-centric innovation, SPARSH Hospitals has launched two new digital physiotherapy and rehabilitation initiatives: a One-Month Online Cardiac Rehabilitation Support Programme and a Hybrid Online Physiotherapy Initiative.
The two initiatives were launched in the presence of Dr. Sharan Shivaraj Patil, Chairman & Founder, SPARSH Hospitals; Mr. Jasdeep Singh, Group CEO, SPARSH Hospitals; Dr.Prof Ranjan Shetty, Group Medical Director, SPARSH Hospitals; Dr. Sherin George (PT), Group Head – Physiotherapy; SPARSH Hospitals, along with other key stakeholders from SPARSH Hospitals.
Designed to extend specialized rehabilitation support beyond the hospital, the two programmes aim to help patients continue their recovery journey from the comfort of their homes while remaining connected to expert clinical guidance. Both programmes will be available across all SPARSH Hospitals in Bengaluru, enabling more patients to access structured and professionally guided rehabilitation support.
Speaking about the launch, Dr. Sharan Shivaraj Patil, Chairman, Founder& Chief Orthopaedics Surgeron, SPARSH Hospitals, said, “At SPARSH Hospitals, our responsibility goes beyond providing advanced and complex medical treatment. Recovery continues well beyond the hospital, and customised, tailored physiotherapy and rehabilitation support is imperative to helping patients regain strength, function and confidence. We are happy to have a dedicated Institute of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation that brings together the expertise to provide such specialised, patient-centric care. Building on this commitment, we are introducing these initiatives to make expert rehabilitation more accessible, convenient and seamless, bringing the right support closer to patients throughout their recovery journey.”
Recognizing the need for continued support after cardiac surgery, SPARSH Hospitals’ One-Month Online Cardiac Rehabilitation Support Programme brings together physiotherapy, nutrition and psychological support through a structured digital care model. Patients receive two live, supervised online physiotherapy sessions every week, covering individualized exercise progression, mobility, aerobic conditioning and breathing exercises, with real-time monitoring and feedback. The programme also includes personalized heart-healthy nutrition guidance and psychological counselling to support lifestyle changes, manage post-cardiac anxiety and help patients regain confidence. Progress tracking and caregiver education further support a smooth transition from hospital care to independent recovery and long-term heart health.
The Hybrid Online Physiotherapy Initiative combines the benefits of in-person clinical assessment with the convenience of virtual rehabilitation. Based on individual recovery needs, physiotherapists prescribe exercises for patients to review before their online sessions, allowing the live sessions to focus on real-time technique, posture and movement correction, performance monitoring and exercise progression. Live supervision provides personalized guidance, while periodic in-person assessments enable physiotherapists to review progress and adapt rehabilitation plans, offering a seamless blend of clinical expertise and digital convenience.
Speaking about the launch, Dr. Prof Ranjan Shetty, Group Medical Director, SPARSH Hospitals, said, “Rehabilitation plays a critical role in helping patients achieve a safe and sustained recovery. These programmes allow our physiotherapy teams to extend structured, supervised care beyond the hospital, while tracking progress and adapting exercises to individual needs. The combination of clinical assessment and real-time virtual guidance makes rehabilitation more consistent, accessible and effective for patients.”
With the launch of these two initiatives, SPARSH Hospitals continues to strengthen its approach to continuity of care, extending rehabilitation support beyond the traditional hospital setting. Available across all SPARSH Hospitals in Bengaluru, the programmes will provide patients with a structured, personalized and professionally guided pathway to continue their recovery with greater convenience and confidence.
