Over the past 13 years, we’ve learned the importance of adaptability, community-driven growth, and the power of data. One key lesson has been understanding that success in e-commerce isn’t just about offering great products but also about empowering people—especially in underserved markets. Our transition towards Co-Commerce was inspired by this realisation, recognizing that a more decentralised, community-focused model is essential for long-term growth. We’ve learned to listen closely to the needs of both our sellers and customers, and we continuously refine our approach to ensure we’re meeting those needs in a meaningful way.

2. How has customer feedback shaped Asort’s product offerings and overall approach since its establishment in 2011?

Customer feedback has been instrumental in shaping our product offerings. From the very beginning, we’ve made it a priority to listen and respond to what our customers want. Whether it’s adjustments to the products themselves or improvements in the user experience, we have always been committed to continuous improvement. Over time, as the Co-Commerce model evolved, we saw firsthand how our customers valued not just the products but the sense of community we were building. We have incorporated these insights into our platform’s design and our business strategy, ensuring that both our sellers and consumers feel heard, engaged, and valued.

3. As you celebrate your 13th anniversary, what innovative projects or initiatives are you planning to launch that will enhance community involvement and support local entrepreneurs?

As we look toward the future, we are planning to launch several initiatives designed to deepen community involvement and support local entrepreneurs. We’re focusing on expanding mentorship programs, which will provide young entrepreneurs with direct guidance from seasoned business leaders. Additionally, we’re rolling out workshops and tools aimed at enhancing digital literacy, helping local entrepreneurs tap into the full potential of online commerce. We are also working on new AI-driven features that will allow for more personalised engagement between businesses, creators, and consumers. These projects will empower our communities to grow their businesses from the ground up, supporting a more inclusive ecosystem.

4. Can you discuss any success stories from young individuals who have benefited from Asort’s programs aimed at promoting economic independence?

Asort has been a transformative platform for individuals striving to achieve financial independence and build meaningful careers. By offering a zero-capital model, a supportive community, and structured learning opportunities, it has empowered many to overcome challenges and create successful ventures.

A  journey depicts the impact of Asort’s approach. Joining the platform in 2023 with no prior business experience and zero investment, Chanchal leveraged Asort’s mentorship network and training programs to excel. Today, she operates her business from Thailand and holds the rank of Ace. Asort’s flexibility allowed her to scale her business while working remotely, showcasing the effectiveness of its community-driven model in fostering both personal and professional growth.

Similarly, six-year association with Asort reflects its ability to create lasting change. Beginning as a mechanic, he built a thriving business with guidance from Asort’s mentors, including leaders like Mr. Roshan. Inspired by his achievements, his elder brother also joined the platform. Beyond financial growth, Kulvir credits Asort with providing enriching experiences such as travel and networking, while enhancing his skills and confidence.

Our approach will continue to focus on expanding the Co-Commerce model, which we believe is the future of e-commerce. By integrating more advanced AI and machine learning tools, we can further personalise the shopping experience and connect sellers with their ideal audiences. We also plan to scale up our influencer and maker communities, empowering them with more resources to grow their businesses. By staying flexible and community-focused, we are confident that Asort will continue to thrive and adapt to the changing landscape of e-commerce.
